What is adjunctive EMDR therapy?
Adjunctive EMDR is a brief therapy designed to enhance the healing process when a person feels stuck in traditional therapy. I will work collaboratively with your primary therapist to identify areas that need exploration and design a treatment plan that is highly focused and short-term so that you can feel better. This model is appropriate for someone who is highly motivated in treatment, looking for relief from distress and currently works with a primary therapist. The goal of adjunctive EMDR therapy is to work through specific targets which will allow you to continue to make progress in therapy.
